Planned a whole weekend and travel around visiting this park for my son's birthday. The park was the only reason we decided to drive the 3 hours to this side of the state, and we found other fun activities to fill the remainder of the time, booked a place to stay and made a weekend of it. I reserved spots for Saturday; when it started to rain on our drive there, I called the office and was advised "it's more fun in the rain, we only cancel for lightning so come on in." We got there 15 minutes later, paid $5 for parking and were advised that the park was closed due to lightning that was 6 miles out. It's Florida, I get it. We were given vouchers for a future visit- and no refund for parking. We decided to move around other plans and go back the next day. I chose to not reserve a spot, considering I'd have to pay again. I was, however, checking the website constantly to be sure there were still 1100 reservations open. We get to the park Sunday morning at 1045 before they're open, pay again for parking, walk up to the office and are advised that the aqua park is booked until 1400. Trying to salvage what is left of my kid's birthday weekend and still having to drive across the state to get home, waiting 3 hours for 45 minutes of fun wasn't worth it- not to mention the forecasted rain for that time. So while it may be fun for some, don't make this place the reason to come here and don't have your heart set on actually being able to use the park. There are many better options in the Bay Area to spend your money on.

Water is warm and we were told by the locals that there was a gator roaming. It’s Florida yes. I’m guessing that’s normal! It’s a clean place with lots to do. Just be careful

Such a nice, clean park! Very family friendly place, water obstacles for older kids, volleyball courts, ski lines, and a nice shallow water beach as well as well as food trucks! We have come here 3 times and have been happy every time! If you're expecting it to be resort style, it's not. But it's good for a beach trip if you don't want to drive all the way to St. Pete or Clearwater. My 3 year old has a blast here! I have never witnessed anything anything that has been described in the negative reviews. Some people just like negativity.

Great fun. Had a 10 and 13 year old play on the water inflatables. Enjoyed watching the wake park.

To be honest, as a local, this place kinda sucks. Unless you have kids and all that. In my opinion, the canal to the north is more fun to fish from (Fillman Bayou). Also kayaking from old dixie in the canals is a lot fun too.
